(Alongside Shannon Hanmer, TIFF Midnight Madness programmer Peter Kuplowsky is one of the film\u2019s producers.)\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Haiti\u2019s Bruno Mourral\u2019s <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/festival.sundance.org\/program\/film\/656a08aefac9f408b7c0481f\"><strong><em>Kidnapping Inc<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong><em>. :&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>This Haiti-France-Canada coproduction includes a Canadian producer, Peripheria Films. This dark comedy tells the story of a pair of kidnappers who inadvertently get in the middle of a political scandal and was filmed in Haiti.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Did you know? Canadian playwright and filmmaker Celine Songwill be honoured with The Vanguard Award for Fiction during the festival\u2019s opening night gala.
